RBS’s MBA Students Participates in 2012 Sohu Entrepreneurs Annual Conference

The 2012 Sohu Entrepreneurs Annual Conference was held on November 4 at Sofitel Wanda Beijing. The conference theme was “Crossroads: Post 2012 Continuity and Change”.  The MBA Center arranged for fifty MBA students from RBS to participate at the conference.


The conference had five theme forums including the start of new development circles, breakthroughs in real estate, solutions for enterprise financing, the upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry and innovation and how to win the future. The distinguished guests Mao Yushi, a well-known economist and director of the Unirule Institute of Economics, and Li Yang, vice-president of CASS, delivered speeches on the theme of Chinese Economic Trends at the opening ceremony.


At this critical transformation period in China, MBA students of RBS need not only to master systematic business knowledge, but also to follow closely the trends in China’s politics, economy and business markets. The participants were deeply impressed by the rich content of the guests’ speeches and the lively exchanges during the forums, and with the remarkable results of China’s opening and reform. However, noting that rapid economic development is also accompanied with increasing contradictions which makes reform necessary, Mao Yushi said, “Economic reform is certainly heading for marketization, but it also needs to create a fair market environment where opportunities are equal and state company and private ones are treated equally. All rights must be given to the common people.”


At the five theme-forums, MBA students were able to see the competitive spirit of Chinese entrepreneurs, who, as role-models, provide inspiration on how to grow into an outstanding entrepreneur in the local environment.
