In order to promote the sport of sailing in China and advocate marine protection awareness, the Business School Cup Sailing Challenge is one of the top brand competitions among China’s business schools and a communication platform for education, culture and business exchange between the world’s business schools. It is sponsored by Yacht Industry, and was held during the 5th China (Xiamen) International Yacht and Boat Show on November 3, 2012. Six teams from well-known Chinese business schools participated in the 2-day competition.
On November 3, the six sailboats set off from Wuyuanwan sailing harbor in Xiamen. The competition takes the form of three times around the racetrack set out by buoys.. In the 3-hour competition, team members experienced the challenge of wind direction and wind force. RBS’s EMBA won the race, the University of International Business and Economics second place, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology third place.
The Business School Cup Sailing Challenge is the only high-end sailing competition in China for EMBA and MBA students, and contributes a great deal to the development of China’s sailing and navigation sports. The competition will also be held in Shenzhen and Sanya, and expanded in 2013 to the six cities of Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen and Sanya.
