Leveraging advanced technologies, the Computer and Lab Center promotes innovation in research and teaching, and provides a practice-oriented teaching platform for faculty and students.

In 2006, the Center partnered with Microsoft China and established an ERP (enterprise resource planning) Lab, the first of its kind in Chinese universities.

In 2008, the courses of “Strategy Management” and “Marketing” introduced the business simulation software developed by CESIM, a leading education technology company based in Finland.

The Experimental Learning Center on Economics and Management, Renmin University of China was recognized by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission as “Exemplary Experimental Learning Centers in Beijing” in 2007 and“National Exemplary Experimental Learning Centers” by Ministry of Education in January 2009.

In January 2016, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Base was recognized by the Beijing Education Commission as “Exemplary University Innovation Hubs in Beijing”.

The Computer and Lab Center has three laboratories:

Business Administration Simulation Lab

Founded in 1996, the Lab is dedicated to facilitating research and teaching in business administration.

ERP (enterprise resource planning) Lab

Founded in 2006, the RUC -Microsoft ERP Lab introduces Microsoft’s key ERP product Dynamics AX into experimental learning. Related courses include “ERP Software Applications”, “Microsoft ERP: Introduction and Cases”, and “Computerized Accounting”.

The Lab has published three textbooks on experimental teaching, and designed a talent development program. It is of vital importance to the Business School’s experimental learning.

Leadership and Communication Behaviors Lab

Founded in 2012, the Leadership and Communication Behaviors Lab is aimed to enhance research and teaching in leadership, organizational behavior, management communication, public relations, and consumer behavior with a particular focus on individuals’ and groups’ behavioral patterns.
