On the morning of July 1st, the RBS held the Appointment Ceremony of Overseas Co-Director at the Department of Finance, on which Senior Associate Dean Professor Jin Xin and Associate Dean Professor Mao Jiye presented the Appointment Letter to Professor Yan Xuemin from Missouri University of the USA. Subsequently, the newly-appointed Co-Director Professor Yan Xuemin joined Professor Jin Xin, Professor Mao Jiye and people in charge from the Department of Finance to discuss topics including disciplinary development planning and co-director’s job responsibilities.
As a pilot department, the Department of Finance made the first attempt to invite an overseas co-director with rich academic resources and professional experience of teaching and research, hoping that the co-director would contribute greatly to the process of the Department’s internationalization by providing substantial support in terms of disciplinary development strategy and implementation, talent introduction and faculty construction, and student development. This also marked another constructive try of the RBS to improve the disciplines by benchmarking with international standards and keeping up with the international subject forefronts.
Professor Yan Xueming took a photo with the RBS leaders and faculty members of the Department of Finance.
