RUC Vice-President Yi Zhihong Attends Yale CEO Summit 2012

Invited by the Yale School of Management Dean Ted Snyder, RUC vice-president and RBS Dean Yi Zhihong and Tencent CTO Xiong Minghua attended the Yale CEO Summit 2012 from December 12-13. The summit, held by the Chief Executive Leadership Institute of Yale University, was attended by well-known American CEOs and business leaders. The deans from the School of Management, Fudan University, IE Business School Madrid Graduate School and NUS School of Business were also present. It was the first time in many years that the deans of world-renowned business schools were invited to attend the summit.

With the umbrella theme of “Business Impact and Opportunities after Government Changes”, the distinguished enterprise CEOs, government officials and top deans held unofficial discussions about the current global economic situation and future development at the summit.

On December 13, Dean Ted Snyder held a small dinner party for select entrepreneurs and deans present at summit. The party participants had a lively discussion about the philosophy of GNAM, the current Global Study Tour Week Plan, joint case development and GNAM member case sharing.


On the morning of December 14, the new editor-in-chief of the Wall Street Journal Robert Thomson was invited to have breakfast with the Yale School of Management Dean Ted Snyder, senior vice-dean David Bach, IE Business School Madrid Graduate School Dean Santiago Iniguez and RBS Vice-President Yi Zhihong. Robert Thomson expressed a strong interest in the GNAM programs and looked forward to further communication and cooperation between RUC and the Beijing office of the Wall Street Journal.
