From November 26th-28th, 2012, Prof. Yi Zhihong, RBS Vice-President and RBS dean, and Prof. Mao Jiye, RBS vice-dean, attended the second conference of the Global Network for Advanced Management held by the Yale School of Management in Istanbul, Turkey. The representatives from top business schools in Brazil, China, Turkey, Spain, America, England and Ireland got together for extensive discussion on the development and future of GNAM.
Conference Scene
First, the representative members discussed GNAM expansion and governance, and decided to accept three new members including the Bangalore Branch of the India Institute of Management (IIM) and the Institute for Management Development (IMD).
The conference participants also discussed the joint development and sharing of case studies. RBS contributed its cases and hopes to jointly develop and exchange follow-up cases in the future.
One of the key topics of the conference was the initiation of the International Immersion Program of GNAM. Starting in 2013, the pilot program will be launched at RBS, the Yale School of Management, IE Business School Madrid Graduate School, the Graduate School of Business of KOC University and Sao Paolo School of Business Administration (FGV-EAESP). Each school will send ten MBA students to one of other four schools for a one-week study tour, during which member schools, in order to improve teaching quality and research levels, will share experience in school administration, the development of cases, data collection, research of business practice-based programs, teaching resources, and participate in staff and student exchanges.
