On August 30, 2012, Associate Dean of School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University (hereafter referred to as ‘ILR School’), Professor Joseph E. Grasso and Managing Director of the Centre for Advanced Human Resource Studies, Professor Steve Miranda paid a visit to RBS. They were received by Associate Dean of RBS, Professor Xiangdong, Liu and Associate Dean of RBS, Professor Jiye, Mao. At the meeting, views were exchanged on further co-operations.
This was the first time that the Associate Dean of ILR School had been to RBS. He came at the invitation of Professor Xiangdong, Liu, who visited ILR School last October. At the start of the meeting, Professor Liu gave a welcome to Professor Grasso and thanked him for his part in forging co-operative ties between RBS and ILR School. He noted ILR School was world-renowned for its outstanding teaching and research, especially in human resource management. “For RBS, ILR School is a role model and a partner for all-round co-operation.” said Professor Liu.
Professor Jiye, Mao briefed the guests on the latest efforts of RBS to send students overseas for joint supervision, plan the school's future development, and step up international co-operation. “Faced with fresh opportunities and challenges in the second decade of the 21st Century, RBS will strive to produce quality graduates, conduct quality research and provide quality service.” said Professor Mao, “We have made international co-operation a priority. We look forward to co-operating with you on a higher level for win-win outcome.”
In return, Professor Grasso gave an overview of programs at IRL School and their exchange with overseas partners. He looked back on the co-operation projects between ILR School and the EDP Centre, RBS in the past and revealed the earnest wish to strengthen
