Eurozone Crisis Analysis- Biweekly Forum Held inDepartment of Finance

　　On November 2, Mr. Georges Pauget, former CEO of Crédit Agricole, former President of Amundi Asset Management and former Chairman of French Banking Federation, was invited to RBS to discuss the Eurozone crisis with RBS faculty and teachers, including an analysis of the hysteretic monetary policy and its variations and causes.
　　Mr. Pauget illustrated the current Eurozone with charts and introduced the origin, development and current situation of the crisis chronologically. He pointed out that one cause of the rapid deterioration of the crisis was that European officials did not reach timely agreement on the solutions, which has led to the ineffectiveness of the remedial measures.
　　Mr. Pauget used a large number of charts to analyze the seven stages of the crisis, elaborated the characteristics of each stage, and made sound predictions through analyzing three scenarios.
In the Q & A section, Mr. Pauget had heated discussions about the real estate issue in Ireland at the beginning of the crisis.
