The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Takes an On-site Review to RBS for QP Accreditation of RBS MPAcc Program

　　On October 26, the five-member review team from the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)conducted an on-site review at RBS for  the accreditation of QP of our MPAcc Program.
　　Prof. Yi Zhihong, Dean of RBS, firstly briefed about both RUC and RBS and stressed the features of an inter-disciplinary approach of courses design and management to cultivate high-level managerial talents, which has a great positive impact on the development of the accounting discipline to keep abreast with international standards,.
　　Prof. Zhi Xiaoqiang, Associate Dean of RBS, introduced the development of accounting discipline of RUC and our MPAcc program, especially its new initiative SPARK PLAN. He emphasized that plan aims to strengthen the soft technical courses of the MPAcc program and students’ communication and leadership skills through the five modules embedded in the plan, namely Spiritual Reconstruction, Professional Proficiency, Action Orientation, Reformative Innovation and Knowledge Integration. 
　　Mr. TOMMY H.F.WONG, chief executive of HKICPA, made detailed introductions about the nature and authority of the institute, objective and scope of QP accreditation, QP test structure, international recognition, mutual examination exemptions with AICPA and fees, etc. Both parties also exchanged views on the educational pattern and development in Hong Kong and the Mainland of China.
