RBS PhD Students Made a Speech on the 1st Georgia Institute of Technology Seminar among Chinese Scholars

RBS third-year PhD student in industrial economics Shang Zhengyu, who was sent to the United States on an exchange study tour by Chinese Ministry of Education in 2009, made a speech entitled “The Path to Realize China’s National Economic Strategy” as a guest speaker on the 1st Georgia Institute of Technology Seminar among Chinese scholars on July 7th 2010.

Mr. Shang Zhengyu started with the Anti-Japanese War to review the historic background and causes of China’s national economic strategy and continued to make a macroeconomic analysis of the market economy since China’s opening-up and reform policy from the following aspects: the choice of economic strategy, its costs, causes, benefits and advantages, the necessity of the choice. In addition, he mentioned that China should make efforts to develop its capital market and promote the RMB internationalization to enhance China’s status as an economic power in the world on the basis of solving the problem of invisible costs incurred under the current complicated political economic circumstances.
