International Exchange Program of RBS plays an important role in expanding students’ horizon, improving their English proficiency and intensifying their competitiveness in job market.
On June 25th 2010, a communication meeting was hosted by International Affairs Office of RBS for “prospective outbound students” to be sent overseas in 2010 Fall Semester. Eight students, who studied as an exchange student in Canada, Ireland, USA and Taiwan in previous semesters, were also invited to the meeting.
For a start, Ms. Caroline XU, Director of the International Affairs Office, introduced the progress RBS has made in expanding international network and the increase of student exchange programs in recent years, and expressed best wishes to and high expectations on the attendants on behalf of the school.
Eight exchange students who have came back from overseas were then invited to share with the audience their experience of overseas study and practical information on overseas life.
At the end, “prospective outgoing students” chatted with the eight returnees to seek for more advice. Students spoke highly of the meeting, saying that it gave them an opportunity to communicate with other exchange students and helped them get better prepared for the coming overseas trip. Likewise, they will share their experience with others after completion of overseas study.
