RUC President Chen Yulu Attends the RBS International Accreditation Committee Annual Conference 2012

On November 22, RBS held the 2012 International Accreditation Committee Annual Conference, at which RUC president Chen Yulu, and vice-presidents Yang Huilin and Yi Zhihong delivered comments on RBS’ international accreditation work.

As the vice-chair of the International Accreditation Committee, RUC vice-president Yi Zhihong introduced the background and significance of the annual conference and noted that RBS, on the basis of its international accreditation work, has made sustainable achievements in terms of organizational reform, strategic management, teaching quality management, staff team structure and international reputation. Yi stressed that RBS’s international accreditation work has achieved phased results and the implementation of the AACSB Assurance of Learning (AOL) system has promoted RBS’s education reform as a strategic management tool for developing cross-cultural business leaders. 

Mao Jiwei, vice-dean of RBS, delivered a detailed report about the core philosophy of AACSB and the impact of international accreditation on RBS’s development. He concluded that the role of international accreditation in pushing forward RBS’s internationalization and continuous improvement in terms of strategic management, school management, faculty professional development and academic research, and education projects. He then pointed out that the international accreditation work could not have achieved so much without the university leaders’ attention and the related departments’ support.

The members of the Committee gave constructive opinions and suggestions at the conference regarding the Committee’s work, RBS’s development, school governance, staff team development and talent education.
