The 5th Secretary-General Work Conference Held

In the afternoon of November 14, 2012, the 5th Secretary-General Work Conference of the Second Council of the RBS Alumni Association was held in Meeting Room 713 of the Mingde Building.

The Deputy Secretary of the RBS Party Committee Huang Jiangming, the Secretary-general and Deputy Secretary-general of the Second Council of the RBS Alumni Association and all staff from RBS’s Alumni and Foreign Affairs Office were present at the conference, chaired by Huang Wei, director of RBS’s Alumni and Foreign Affairs Office.

At the conference, deputy secretary Huang Jiangming acknowledged the achievements over this Council’s term and hoped the secretary-generals would continue to take more initiatives in the following two and half-year term of office to promote alumni activities and interactive exchanges amongst the business school and alumni in the interest of mutual development.

Huang Wei delivered a report on alumni affairs during the 75th anniversary of RUC, the progress of the alumni website and database creation, the achievement of four alumni service groups (interest service group, industry service group, local service group and donation service group) directed by the second Alumni Association Council, and the agenda of the RBS Alumni Association Council and the 1st RBS Alumni Contribution Prize Award Ceremony to be held on December 16.  

The secretary-generals discussed Huang’s report. Consensus was finally reached at the conference on the following issues: 1. Decision on the plan for grouping the vice-chairman and the director of the RBS alumni association council as well as the supplemental plan for the vice-chairman and deputy secretary candidates; 2. Approval of renaming the Donation Service Group as the Foundation Group; 3. Clarifying the agenda of the RBS Alumni Association Council and the 1st RBS Alumni Contribution Prize Award Ceremony; 4.
