The 1st Commodity Circulation Summit was Successfully Held at RUC

  The “2011 Commodity Circulation Summit”, jointly sponsored by RBS and China University Commercial Education Association, was held in RUC on October 22-23, 2011 and attended by distinguished guests from Ministry of Commerce, Research Office of the State Council, Development Research Center of the State Council, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Capital University of Economics and Business and Hunan University of Commerce, including scholars, entrepreneurs and leaders of key commodity circulation enterprises.
  At the opening ceremony presided over by RBS Associate Dean Mao Jiye, RBS Dean Yi Zhihong , gave a welcome speech followed by keynote speeches delivered by  Jiang Zengwei, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Commerce, and Ji Baocheng, President of RUC.
  Mr. Jiang Zengwei introduced the way of propelling domestic demand, holding the discourse power in the global chain of labor division and strengthening circulation as a major medium and platform for the transformation of economic growth mode. He also stressed the importance of information technology reform, third-party logistics development, government functions transformation, harmonious market construction, and business talents cultivation in circulation pattern reform.
  Ji Baocheng pointed out that, in the market economic environment, the idea that “market is prioritized over circulation” has posed unprecedented challenges to the development of trade economics discipline. Given the importance of circulation, we should lay great emphasis on the research of circulation theory and have serious thinking of the real problems, such as the profit-seeking and public benefit natures of the circulation industry, market openness, prosperity and stability, and  industrial security.
