Symposium on Reflective Education Marks the 10th Anniversary of EMBA Education in China

  On June 9, a symposium with the theme “Reflecting on the Decade of EMBA Education in China” was held at the School of Business, Renmin University of China (Renmin Business School-RBS). At this symposium, the RUC Chinese Master’s in Practicing Management (CMPM) club was unveiled.
  “Chinese enterprises are increasingly diversified in terms of their size and ownership structure. At the same time, there is a growing group of young entrepreneurs with higher degrees. In the education sector in particular, competition is growing stronger. All these factors require that EMBA education plays a bigger and better role in China.” said Professor Feng Yunxia, Director of the EMBA Program at Renmin Business School. “Just like any milestone, the 10th anniversary shows how far we have come. But our journey does not stop here. As a starting point, the anniversary reminds us there is a long way to go to fulfill our mission.” Professor Feng remarked.
  Professor Zhao Chunjun, Vice Director of China’s National MBA Education Supervisory Committee, spoke, looking back on the decade’s development of EMBA education in China. Looking into the future, Professor Zhao said the priority is to continue to improve the quality of programs. More needs to be done to better regulate recruitment efforts and manage courses; as well, continuous improvements to programs are needed. Professor Zhao praised the CMPM (Chinese Masters in Practicing Management) component of the EMBA program at RBS and acknowledged it has made a real difference.
