Symposium Held Jointly by RBS and College of Management, National Cheng Kung University

On July 23, 2012, a mission headed by Yu-Hern Chang, dean of College of Management, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) paid a visit to RBS and joined RBS faculty in presenting a symposium.

The symposium was compered by Professor Jiye Mao, Associate Dean of RBS, and Professor Zhihong Yi, Vice President of Renmin University of China (hereafter referred to as ‘RUC’) and Dean of RBS, delivered an opening address. “Professor Chang is an old friend of ours. In the year 2000, he came to RBS and gave lectures. Since then, we have carried out wide-ranging in-depth co-operations. Through our cooperation in various forms much has been achieved.” said Professor Yi. She went on to brief the guests on the development of business schools in the mainland, the efforts of RBS to go global and its co-operations with higher education institutions in Taiwan on case development and communication between faculties across the straits. Professor Yi expressed her wish that RBS and College of Management, NCKU would build on what is achieved and move ahead with co-operations in more areas to push to a new high exchange between business schools across the straits. 

Professor Yu-Hern Chang took a look back on his visit to RUC 12 years ago and on efforts of both schools to deepen understanding, maintain close contact and concrete co-operation, and increase friendship.
