RBS Finance Summer Camp Open

On July 16, 2012, the 2012 RBS Finance Summer Camp got off to a good start with an opening ceremony at Room 0702, Mingde Business Building. The ceremony was attended by Vice President of RUC (Renmin University of China) and Dean of RBS, Professor Zhihong, Yi, Associate Dean of RBS, Professor Jiye, Mao, Associate Dean of RBS, Associate Professor Xiaoqiang, Zhi, Assistant Dean of RBS and Head of Postgraduate Program, Professor Jun Liu, Chair of Department of Finance, Professor Yan Li and all faculty members of her department.

Professor Zhihong, Yi opened the ceremony by  congratulating recruits from across the nation. She also extended gratitude to Department of Finance for running the camp and to all RBS staff for their support. Professor Jiye, Mao introduced the recruits to the development of the discipline of management, of RBS and its department of finance. It preceded a detailed description by Professor Jun Liu of the goal, structure and mode of instruction of the PhD Express program. It was meant as a heads-up for recruits so they can learn more of this program and make informed choice of activities. Professor Yan Li described the purpose of hosting the camp and unveiled its schedule. She encouraged the recruits to exert themselves for a stunning performance at the written test and viva voce at the conclusion of the camp. Faculty members of Department of Finance then took the podium one after another and briefly described their areas of research specialization. Though their words were but few, they gave recruits a glimpse of what RUC academics are like.
