On the afternoon of October 19, the forum titled "Belt and Road Connectivity and the Establishment of a New Global Economic Order" was held in Beijing. The forum, part of the Tongzhou Global Development Forum (2024), which is titled "Fostering a Community of Shared Development and Building a New Era of Humanity Together," explored the practical and academic perspectives of the Belt and Road Initiative and its significance in shaping a new global economic order.

The forum featured keynote speeches from Jin Jiafei (expert in the Belt and Road field from Harbin Institute of Technology), Li Renying (head of “One Belt, One Road Research Center” of Azerbaijan State University of Economics), Samrat Shrestha (executive member and researcher at Institute for International Relations Nepal (IIRN)), Gao Yuanyuan (president of China International Economic Cooperation Society), Xu Yaoqiang (head of the Office and Strategic Development Research Center of China Huadian Corporation), Wang Hongxiang (secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hainan Nongken Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd.), Cao Xi (assistant general manager of BYD Brand and Public Relations).

Dean of Renmin Business School, Yi Jingtao introduced the preparation for the establishment of the Belt and Road International Business School Alliance and unveiled the alliance's logo.
