In the afternoon of April 13, 2013, a student forum themed Management Challenges and Leadership Development in a Globalized World – A Closer Look at RBS International Advisory Committee was held in the National Studies Center of Renmin University.
Prof. Ji Baocheng, former President of RUC, firstly gave a speech and stressed that the young students, as members of the School and the University, should not only cultivate patriotism for their mother country and absorb nourishment from the traditional Chinese culture, but also develop a global vision to shoulder the responsibility in promoting socialism with Chinese characteristics.

This forum is themed Management Challenges and Leadership Development in a Globalized World, and invites three groups of students to each give a five-minute presentation which will be assessed by the IAC members.
The first group gave a speech titled New Requirements to Managers in the Globalization Context and adopted Tongrentang as an exemple to demonstrate companies should put quality at the core of its culture, improve its image through philanthropic acts and explore and utilize differences in an innovative manner, such as replacing decoction with tablet. Prof. Snyder, Dean of Yale School of Management spoke highly of the presentation and commented that “Branding is a commitment. It is about reputation and expectation.” Dean of IE Business School also stated that “Innovation is not always working. It needs a balance with rules.”
