Two Courses Listed in the “Top-quality Undergraduate Courses” and “Top-quality Undergraduate Textbooks and Courseware” of Beijing Universities in 2022

Recently, Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the list of “Top-quality Undergraduate Courses” and “Top-quality Undergraduate Textbooks and Courseware” of Beijing universities in 2022. The course Accounting lectured by YUAN Rongli, Professor of Renmin Business School (RMBS), was appraised as the “Top-quality Undergraduate Course” of Beijing universities. And Professor YUAN Rongli was approved as the “excellent main lecturer of specialized courses in Beijing universities”. The textbook Asset Valuation (2nd Edition) compiled by Professor YU Mingxuan was awarded as the “Top-quality Undergraduate Textbook and Courseware” of Beijing universities.

YUAN Rongli , Professor of Department of Accounting

YUAN Rongli is Professor of RMBS, PhD Supervisor, and also selected as National Accounting Leading Talent by the Ministry of Finance. Her research interests are mainly corporate finance and corporate governance. She has released over 40 papers in national and international core journals such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Management World and Accounting Research, published 2 monographs and compiled 2 textbooks.

Since its establishment in 2012, Accounting has been continuously improved in the past ten years in order to help students to master the basic knowledge of accounting, cultivate students’ ability to analyze problems using accounting-related knowledge and modern technical means, and have a sense of social responsibility.

YU Mingxuan, Associate Professor of Department of Finance

YU Mingxuan is Associate Professor of RMBS, PhD Supervisor, Managing Director of China Appraisal Society, and Director of MPAcc program of RMBS. He won the “National 100 Excellent Management Cases” awards for four consecutive years from 2018 to 2021.

The textbook Asset Valuation mainly expounds the principles and methods of value judgment and discovery of the core content of asset valuation, integrates asset valuation expertise, cutting-edge insights, international vision and professional ethics, and analyzes the frontiers and hot topics in the field of asset valuation.

The selection of “top-quality undergraduate courses” and “top-quality undergraduate textbooks and courseware” of Beijing universities aims to improve the higher education talent training in Beijing and assist the economic and social development of the capital. Up to now, a total of 2 courses in our school have been rated as “top-quality undergraduate courses”, and 3 textbooks have been awarded as “top-quality undergraduate textbooks” of Beijing universities.
