Journal of Corporate Finance Special Issue Conference on Family Firm Governance Concluded Smoothly

During the time from June 28th to June 29th 2013, the Journal of Corporate Finance Special Issue Conference on Family Firm Governance, jointly hosted by the RBS and the French INSEAD Wendel International Centre for Family Enterprise, was successfully held in the Chinese Literature Hall of the RUC.

Professor Yi Zhihong, Vice President of the RUC and Dean of the RBS, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the sponsors, in which she expressed warm welcome to the presence of experts and scholars from all over the world and wished the Conference a complete success. Professor Stuart Gillan from the USA University of Georgia, Co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Corporate Finance, also made a speech at the Conference, briefly introducing the theme and the paper submissions of the Conference and expressing his heart-felt thanks to the sponsors for their hard work.

Professor Randall Morck from the University of Alberta of Canada started with a keynote speech entitled The Shanxi Banks：Corporate Governance with Chinese Characteristics. Professor Morck pointed out the importance of studying financial history and expounded the uniqueness of Shanxi banks. In the end, he summarized the inspirations brought by the systematic develop
