Huo’s Group Donating ￥1.5m to RBS

A ceremony for the donation of Huo’s Group to RBS was celebrated on December 29, 2014. COO of Huo’s, Mr. Huo Jianmin, who is also an alumnus of our MBA and EMBA programs, donated on behalf of the company RMB 1.5 million to support overseas exchange of RBS’ undergraduate students. This is the largest donation RBS has ever received from alumni’s organizations to date.

Director of RUC’s Alumni Affairs Office, Guo Haiying, extended his gratitude to Mr. Huo himself as well as Huo’s Group. He acclaimed the sincerity of RUC’s alumni and their commitment to the university’s long-term development. He would look forward to more intensive engagement of alumni in the future development of the university.

RBS Dean Mao Jiye also gratefully acknowledged Mr. Huo and Huo’s Group for their generosity. He stressed that internationalization is a crucial dimension of a business school’s educational excellence. It also weighs a lot in the ranking of business administration discipline. To promote students’ participation in overseas exchange programs, RBS has allocated particular funds in this regard. Since 2010, RBS has given almost 1.8 million to its outgoing exchange students. In addition, special privileges of financial support are offered to students from disprivileged families who are willing to apply for overseas exchange. Dean Mao promised RBS will rigorously oversee the use of the donation.
