From Mar. 16 to Mar. 20, 2015, the fifth Global Network Week of GNAM officially kicked off at different universities around the world as scheduled. The program’s theme for RBS, one of the hosts this year is E-China: Development of the Internet and Innovations in China. We hosted over 20 MBA students from 8 prestigious global business schools including Yale School of Management etc.
Three Lectures
On Mar. 16, Majid Ghorbani, Director of this year’s program & Assistant Professor of General Management gave a review of the courses for the week and held ice-breaking games for our participants. Together with Majid Ghorbani, Wenyu Du, Assistant Professor of Management Science & Engineering and Zelin Zhang, Assistant Professor of Marketing each delivered lectures respectively titled Technology Environment in China, Internet + Chinese Economy, and Internet Development and Innovations in China. The lectures helped students gain a better understanding of the environment and trend in China’s internet reform.
Four Industry Speakers
On Mar. 18, Dr. Hanwen Cui from Ali Research gave a speech on Alibaba’s development and innovation. The Director of Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Haidian Science Park, Prof. Xuan Hong, gave a speech on Government & Internet Based Entrepreneurship that was focused on optimizing the eco-environment for start-ups. On Mar. 19, Mr. Xiaogang Tan, Cofounder & VP of Mozi Healthcare and Ms. Lanning Tian, Deputy Secretary General of the China Association of Social Welfare delivered their speeches titled HealthCare for 1.3 Billion and Aging in China and Internet Innovation respectively.
