From November 24 to 25, 2012 (the 5th) China Human Resource Management Annual Conference was jointly held at RUC by RBS and the Chinese Human Resource Research and Practice Association. The conference focused on current hot issues and future developments from a global perspective.
The Conference
RUC’s CPC Party Secretary Cheng Tianquan welcomed the conference participants, saying that he hoped the Chinese Human Resource Research and Practice Association would work with all parts of society to contribute to the overall promotion of Chinese human resource management.
Qiu Xiaoping, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China, said in his opening speech that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security hopes to cooperate with academic research institutes and enterprises in helping China make the leap from a country with large human resources to a country with powerful human resources and to realize the overall well-being of society.
Professor Harry C. Katz, Dean of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University, made a speech via video, saying he hoped to be able to discuss topics like “for special products and services, what should we choose, outsourcing or utilizing internal resources?”

Government administrators, renowned scholars and outstanding industrial leaders came together at the conference to explore new models and ideas of Chinese human resources management through keynote speeches, themed forums and parallel sub-forums.
