On April 29, the Undergraduate Program Office of Renmin Business School (RMBS) held an information session on the Bachelor of Accounting program (track: Intelligent Accounting).
Firstly, undergraduate program manager WANG Yinping made introductory remarks. She said that the program is an important step in undergraduate education reform in the era of big data, and is dedicated to cultivating compound talents with knowledge and capabilities of financial accounting and information technology.
Professor ZHANG Min, head of the Department of Accounting, gave detailed program introduction. He outlined the theories and skills of intelligent accounting, and explained their application in real-world accounting and financial problems. He also told the students the key features of the program, including small class size, two-mentor scheme, links with the academia and business community, and career prospects. Professor ZHANG also announced the admission requirements, and encouraged students to apply for the program.
Next, two current students (TAN Yiqing and ZHAO Yutong from the Class 2022) shared their learning experience.
Finally, staff from the Undergraduate Program Office answered questions from students interested in program application..
Bachelor of Accounting (track: Intelligent Accounting), launched in 2020, is a major initiative of the School to further promote the undergraduate curriculum reform around the focus of “digital transformation and organizational restructuring”. In the future, the School will seek to integrate traditional majors and latest technologies, and create a more comprehensive and inclusive undergraduate talent training mode.
