RBS’ forum on academic abilities training of postgraduate students opened on December 4, 2013. This forum, co-initiated by the School’s Teaching Affairs Office, Postgraduate Student Union and Research Center for Corporate Innovation and Competitiveness, aims to advance long-term academic career development of RBS’ postgraduate students through a variety of activities.
On the opening day, Associate Professor Wang Xiaohua from Department of Organization and Human Resources delivered a seminar entitled How to Read a Paper? Strategic Choices and Tactical Execution and shared his personal experience. He encouraged postgraduates to well plan their academic goals, conduct meaningful research and have a fruitful academic life.
The seminar has drawn audience from other schools within RUC as well as peer universities such as Tsinghua. More distinguished speakers from renowned universities and research institutes will be invited and diverse forms of forum activities will be carried out including lectures, discussions, workshops and salons. This forum is designed to not only sharpen students’ research capabilities but also explore a cooperative mechanism to capitalize upon academic resources outside RBS.
