MBA Program Innovation “In and Out of Class”

Time:2015-10-27

MBA Program of RBS, as the pioneer of Business Administration education in China, has been adapting itself to the trend of economic and social development, focusing itself on leveling up the practical capabilities and international mindset of students.

The Concept of “Comprehensive Curriculum”
The year 2010 has seen RBS making the first step to reform its MBA Program. Taking the opportunity of applying for EQUIS and AACSB accreditation, MBA program followed the SAIL Plan, committed itself to management reform, curriculum mode innovation and equality promotion, and eventually achieved its own brand feature.

“2008 Financial Crisis led to the worldwide reflection and reform among global business schools. MBA Program of RBS thereafter concerned itself more with students’ acquirement of the soft skills like business ethics, communication skills, and leadership, etc.” quoted from Wu Jianghua, the faculty member of Department of Management Science and Engineering.

The updated program put forward the concept of “comprehensive curriculum”, namely, multi-channeled mode of curriculum, which includes curriculum in class (traditional MBA courses), curriculum out of class (MBA Business Mentor), and curriculum in-and-out-of class (Team Action Project and integrated course system).

“MBM Program enables students to meet the elites and experts from varied fields, to extend the social network and enrich their cross-regional and cross-industrial knowledge. TAP provides students with the chances to apply the management skills learned in class to actual practice. With the guidance of their business mentor, they will visit enterprises and offer counseling service,” added by Wu.
