A group of participants of IMPM program--founded by Prof. Henry Mintzberg, the renowned master in management---began a two-week study tour in RBS on May 28th. They were all senior managers from renowned international companies including World Red Cross, Deutsche Luffthansa AG, LG, Panasonic and Boeing, etc. This trip, hosted by RBS EMBA Center, will give them a chance to know about Chinese economy and culture, develop a special perspective to view management relationship, and learn about cooperation in different social cultures.
Prof. Yi Zhihong, Dean of RBS, said: “In the future, our CMPM participants and EMBA students will have more chances to communicate with IMPM participants. To foster future business leaders for Chinese enterprises, we hope they have both global vision and capabilities of cross-cultural management.”
The program was designed and conducted by Prof. Song Hua, Vice-Dean of RBS, and the CMPM team led by Associate Professor Feng Yunxia, Director of EMBA Center. The participants were scheduled to visit such companies as TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group, Shenhua Group, Tianjin Port and talk with managers from domestic enterprises.
The study trip received great attention from public media including China Central TV (CCTV) and People.Com. Mr. James, Secretary General of Kenya Read Cross, expressed in a interview: “We’d really like to visit Chinese enterprises and talk with Chinese entrepreneurs about business operations.”
