On December 4, 2012, a delegation from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University, led by Dean Harry Katz, paid a visit to RBS. The vice-deans of RBS, Liu Xiangdong and Mao Jiye, met with Dean Professor Harry C. Katz, Vice-dean Joe E. Grasso and Assistant professor Eli Friedman, to discuss cooperation between the two schools.
After the warm welcome delivered to the delegates, Vice-dean Liu Xiangdong warmly welcomed the Cornell delegates and briefly introduced the history of the cooperation between the two schools over the last two years. He thanked the School of Industrial and Labor Relations for its support during the 2012 Advanced Management Course for Human Resources and the 5th China Human Resources Management Annual Meeting 2012.
Dean Katz, on behalf of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, expressed sincere thanks for RBS’s hospitality and noted that the School of Industrial and Labor Relations has always seen RBS as one of their most important strategic partners in the world. On the basis of extensive cooperation and friendship between the two schools, he intends to assist in the design and planning of the agenda of the 6th China Human Resources Management Annual Meeting 2013 and work with RBS to deliver an annual meeting with the greatest international influence in the field of human resources.
Afterwards, Vice-Dean Liu Xiangdong and Dean Katz discussed the 2013 overseas study tour program and the Human Resources Master Degree program initiated by the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Vice-Dean Mao Jiye and Dean Katz discussed issues of postgraduate student exchange, academic research and staff exchange visits, and agreed to develop further strategic cooperation partnerships.
