Director of Stanford Center for International Development Prof. Nicholas Hope visited RBS

In April 2013, director of Stanford Center for International Development (SCID) Prof. Nicholas Charles Hope was invited by RBS to join RBS International Advisory Committee.


On the afternoon of May 8, Prof. Nicholas Hope visited RBS and met with Vice-president of RUC and dean of RBS Prof. Yi Zhihong and Vice-dean Prof. Mao Jiye. The two parties had talks about the development of RBS International Advisory Committee and the exchange and cooperation between the two universities.


Vice-president Yi Zhihong firstly expressed warm welcome to Prof. Nicholas Hope and briefly introduced the members and development of RBS International Advisory Committee as well as the Annual Conference 2013. Sincere thanks were given to Prof. Nicholas Hope for joining the Committee and offering valuable suggestions and support to RBS.


Prof. Nicholas Hope said he was much honored to join RBS International Advisory Committee. He also pointed out that with the active involvement and strong cooperation of members from the business world and government departments, the Committee would surely play a more and more important role in the development of RBS. He also expressed willingness to give as much support and assistance as he can during the three-year term as the member of the Committee. Prof. Hope delivered warm congratulations to RBS’s achievements of earning EQUIS and AACSB accreditations as well as the top ranking of business management discipline in the 3rd –round evaluation by Ministry of Education.


Vice-president Yi Zhihong stressed that Prof. Nicholas Hope’s rich experience and deep understanding of Chinese economy would play an irreplaceable role in the development of RBS and its International Advisory Committee. She hoped that the two parties would continue communication and cooperation and expected to strengthen relationship with Stanford University for further mutual international development.
