RBS Brings “Intangible Cultural Heritage

—Beijing’s Time-Honored Brands” to RUC

On June 14th 2010, the activity of “Intangible Cultural Heritage - Beijing’s Time-Honored Brands to RUC” was held in the university’s Yifu Conference Hall by the joint efforts of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce and the RBS. The activity is intended to advance the preservation and inheritance of the time-honored brands, promote the nation’s traditional culture represented by the time-honored brands, and increase the young generation’s knowledge of traditional commerce and its history and culture. The activity consisted of a picture display, an annual progress report, expert speeches, inauguration of “the time-honored brands’ internship bases” and traditional culture shows.

The school’s dean Prof. Yi Zhihong stated that the RBS should produce students with the ability to handle actual problems and make contributions to re-energizing and promoting the time-honored brands. The chairman of the Time-Honored Brands Commerce Chamber, chairman of China Quanjude Group, followed to release the 2009 Annual Progress Report on Bejing’s Time-Honored Brands.

On behalf of the School, senior associate dean Prof. Jing Xin signed the agreement with the time-honored brands to set up internship bases in 20 companies such as Quanjude, Zhangyiyuan and Tianfuhao. The RBS is an important base to educate business administration talents, while the time-honored brands are representatives of traditional commerce; if the two join hands with each other, it will increase students’ knowledge of the traditional brands’ history and current situation and enhance students’ practical abilities, whereas it is helpful for the time-honored bra
