On May 28th 2010, the RBS received the IMPM Programme delegation comprising senior managers from the German Lufthansa Airlines, American Boeing Company, Japanese Panasonic, Japanese Fuji Group, Korean LG Group and other companies of Egypt and Britain. The delegation led by Professor Rick Crawley, Associate Dean of Lancaster University School of Management, completed a ten-day study designed and executed by the CMPM Programme team of the RBS, which drew the curtain on June 7th. The British delegates and international senior managers had a high opinion of the design, operation and organization of the study. The completion of this activity contributed to advancing and deepening the internationalization of the RBS.
The joint module with the IMPM Programme intends to provide a new perspective to management relations and cooperation in different cultures. Accordingly, our school’s CMPM Programme team organized the IMPM Programme participants to visit the Pingyao banking culture in Shanxi Province and Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Co., Ltd. (TBEA) in Shenyang and invited famous professors in China such as Professor Wen Tiejun (Dean of School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at the RUC) and Professor Yang Jian (Director of the Financial Information Center at the RUC) to give lectures, which enabled the participants to understand better the Chinese management and cooperation by combining lectures with field trips. After class, the School also took the participants to places like Laoshe Teahouse for a taste of the unique culture of old Beijing. At the end of the ten-day study, the participants arrived at the conclusion that it was a very special and memorable visit to Beijing.
