On May 26, 2018, Renmin Business School held the 9th International Advisory Committee (IAC) annual meeting. The host of the meeting was FU Chengyu, Chair of the 3rd International Advisory Committee, former chairman of Sinopec Group, and Secretary of CPC Leadership Group.

Dean Prof. MAO Jiye briefed the IAC on the school’s major accomplishments and progress in 2017 and strategic initiatives for 2018. These include the school’s fine-tuned mission, vision and values, the use of new school logo, faculty’s publications on top international journals, and the latest FT ranking of the executive education program. Dean Mao also introduced to the IAC members the school’s progress in research on social enterprise and case studies, and State-Owned Enterprise Reform and Development Research Center and Big Data Lab Center among other new initiatives. Associate Deans LIU Xiaomei, SONG Hua and ZHI Xiaoqiang gave an update on the school’s undergraduate programs, case center, and graduate programs respectively.

The IAC members congratulated the school’s top management team on the major achievements in the 2017-2018 academic year, and in particular the fact that business administration discipline is recognized as top-tier (highest level: A+) by the Ministry of Education and that education programs have growing international reputation. They also shared their insights on how to build “a world class business school as the expert in Chinese management”.
