MAO Jiye, Dean of Renmin Business School

This is indeed thrilling news! The major breakthrough marks a big leap in our efforts to build the school into “a world-class business school as the expert in Chinese management”.

Executive education is the most direct way through which business schools connect with businesses and the society. It brings b-schools close to the business community, and facilitates the conversion of knowledge into productivity. Customized training programs are extremely demanding. Many top-tier business schools like Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and IMD have highly acclaimed executive education programs.

The fact that we are now ranked the 13th globally testifies to our strong faculty expertise as well as our clients’ recognition of program innovation and service quality.

ZOU Yufeng, Assistant Dean & Director of EMBA and EE Program Centers

Our devotion to client satisfaction is witnessed by our high rankings in Follow-up and Growth, and Future Use among other key indicators. In recent years, we have taken an array of measures to improve program quality and allocate resources based on clients’ needs but not those of faculty members or administrative staff. Emphasis is placed on teaching innovation. We require that lecture and discussions each takes up 50% of the class time. Each module should include lectures, discussions, reflections, simulation/real-world experience, and company visits. And program design should follow standardized processes and be module-based. In addition, we believe that outstanding faculty remains our trump card. We are the first b-school in China to appoint and reward faculty members only according to program participants’ ratings but not their academic or administrative titles.

YANG DU, Professor at Renmin Business School, one of the 6 experts who compiled the Management Principles and Guidelines of Huawei Group

To be the expert in Chinese management, we need to not only understand management knowledge, but also upgrade management skills, and forge management philosophies as well.

Renmin Business School is now ranked the 13th globally for its executive education programs. This is a major step forward in its pursuit to play a leading role in Chinese management education. Its executive training programs features combination of lectures, simulations, company visits, and discussions, and integration of western management theories and up-to-date real-world management experience.
