In the face of the ever-changing internet era where globalization is continuously deepening and various social issues keep popping up, the requirements for managerial talents are also undergoing significant transformation. How can business schools develop good managers and entrepreneurs in a complicated environment? How do business schools cope with more fierce competition and challenges, while accelerating the pace of transformation?
In a book launch held for The Learning Curve: How Business Schools Are Re-inventing Education on October 8, the writer Professor Santiago Iñiguez de Onzoño, Dean of Spain’s IE Business School, the Chinese translation proofreader Professor Yi Zhihong, Vice President of Renmin University of China, and Professor Mao Jiye, Dean of RBS answered these questions with a view to promoting this new book.
In his analysis of the defects of the education nowadays, Professor Iñiguez de Onzoño emphasized the focus of management should be placed upon “people” and innovation and learning are very important. He also pointed out a few trends of higher education development, including internationalization of stakeholders, strategic alliances between different institutions worldwide, and emergence of new mode that integrates education and technology.
Professor Iñiguez de Onzoño later proposed three suggestions for business schools.
