2012 CEO Leadership Seminar Series

Hosted by the RBS Career Development Center, the CEO Leadership Seminar Series was held in Room 702 of the Mingde Building in the afternoon of October 24 and the evening of October 26, 2012.

The eight American business experts (who included the CEO of American Motors Corporation Gary Labadie, educationist Glenda Labadie, insurance specialist John C. Dejong, attorney James Strommen) delivered great speeches at the two seminars titled The Core of Successful Business and Learn from Your Experience---How to Face Failure?

The short speeches took place in the first half of the seminars. At the seminar The Core of Successful Business, the guests highlighted the important elements and basic principles of building a successful business through their own business experiences. They illustrated the core factors of business success with humor and lively examples, including  “love and gratitude” discussed by Ms. Labadie, “wisdom of leadership and management” by Mr. Labadie, “handling the relationship of Direction-Build-Maintain” by Mr. Strommen. At the seminar Learn from Your Experience---How to Face Failure? , the guests talked about how to face failure in business.

The speeches were followed by questions and discussion with the audience. During the discussion period, students were impressed by the American guests’ enthusiasm and wisdom and deep understanding about how to build a successful business and how to face the failure of a business. This cultural exchange broadened the students’ vision and thoughts.

After the seminar, the American guests took a group photo with the audience and staff. Great appreciation was also expressed to the Career Development Office for hosting these seminars.
