Foreign Students Have a Taste of Peking Opera

Peking opera, with its fascinating and artistic music, singing, costume, facial painting and martial arts, has long been China’s national treasure. On November 28, 19 foreign students accompanied by 3 local students, had a great opportunity to experience this unique form of art in Meilanfang Theater, Beijing.

Before the performance, Chinese students have given a detailed introduction about the storyline, vocal performance, dancing and costume to their foreign friends so that they could enjoy the charm of the traditional Chinese art.

This event was hosted by the Multi Culture Association (MCA) of RBS IMBA program with the aim to help students from overseas explore Chinese culture. Established in 2010 and supported by the IMBA program, MCA has successfully organized a variety of cross-cultural exchange activities and is committed to offering more opportunities for students with different cultural backgrounds to interact with each other.
