The Challenge of Internet Thinking: MBA Teaching Review Session of 2016 Spring Semester

On 2 March, MBA Teaching Review Session of 2016 Spring Semester, themed “The Challenge and Opportunity of Internet Thinking for MBA Education”, was held in Conference Room 702, Mingde Business Building. This periodical session has been maintained as an essential roundtable setup for sustaining optimization of MBA teaching management. Hosted by Liu Xiaoni, the meeting  was attended by more than 50 members, including Mao Jiye, Dean of RBS, Huang Jiangming, Senior Dean of RBS, Song Hua, Associate Dean of RBS, Zhi Xiaoqiang, Associate Dean of RBS, MBA teaching faculty, MBA Program Center Staff and Entrepreneurial Advisors.


There were five items on the agenda. Zhi Xiaoqiang firstly delivered the MBA Teaching Review, reporting on the proceedings of Internet Finance Program (IF, for short) and MBA Flexible Schooling Reform. After repeated demonstration, peer comparison, and engagement seminars, IF Program will be more mature and complete on curriculum provision, simulative practice, tuition budget, and program operation. The MBA Flexible Schooling Reform, started from 2016 class, was intended to give students more liberty on choosing their teachers, semesters and courses. In addition, Zhi Xiaoqiang also elaborated on test and grading supervision for this semester and hoped that teachers would follow standards and continuously engrave on teaching methods.


Song Hua introduced the basic function of FT Education Datebase and how it integrated with E-learning and applied to MBA/IMBA teaching. The database, as the effective supplementary teaching materials, contained the dynamically updated data, features, reviews, and business cases of worldwide industries and enterprises.
