Forum on Case-Based and Qualitative Research on Business Administration in China (2013) and the 7th Management Forum of Renmin University of China came to a close on 10th November

The Forum on Case-Based and Qualitative Research on Business Administration in China (2013) and the 7th Management Forum of Renmin University of China, jointly organized by RBS and Management World magazine, were held at Yifu Conference Center of RUC. With a theme of “Management of Chinese Enterprises in a Dynamic Environment”, the forum organized e keynote speech, workshops, sub forums and roundtable discussions. More than 300 experts and scholars from over 105 universities both at home and abroad attended this annual event, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, China Europe International Business School, National University of Singapore, Copenhagen Business School and University of Nottingham Ningbo.

This forum for the first time set up small workshops on November 8th, prior to the formal meeting,), invited experts to give in-depth comments on some submitted papers and provided the participants with more opportunities for learning and exchange. Additionally, a new award for best reviewers was introduced at this year’s forum, to recognize the dedication domestic and overseas reviewers have made to the forum and encourage more reviewers to conduct rigorous and objective work in the future.

The forum involved a number of renowned overseas in the keynote speeches and workshops, including Prof. Allen S. Lee, a well-established case researcher from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Prof. Sam Garg from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Lin Zhiying, chief representative of south China region,  general manager of Fung Group South China and vice president of Li & Fung Research Center, delivered a presentation on new enterprise management patterns, which was considered very inspiring for case researchers and practice-based case studies.
