RBS MBA Alumni Special Fund Set up to Finance Minde Duxing Lectures

  On June 9, 2012, a ceremony was held at the beginning of the second of the Minde Duxing Lectures to mark the conclusion of a donation agreement to fund the lectures.
  Professor Zhi Xiaoqiang, Associate Dean of Renmin Business School (RBS), thanked the MBA alumni for this donation and explained the details and use of the fund. The fund will be managed under the principle of “special programs for special fund, special fund under special management, special management monitored by alumni”. The Minde Duxing lectures financed by the fund and open to alumni aims to strengthen the ties between RBS and its alumni. In his speech, Professor Zhi defined the lectures as an extra-curricular activity to enrich MBA students’ lives, a channel for dialogue between students and professionals, an important opportunity to ensure MBA graduates have sound knowledge of practice in China and encourage exploration and innovation. Renowned scholars, government officials and professionals from industries at home and abroad will be invited as speakers to discuss topical political and economic issues in the context of world politics and economics and share their observations on MBA students’ concerns in the light of an MBA education.
  As the representative of the donors, Ms Xu Li, President of Beijing Zhong Ke New Vision Digital Technologies, Co. Ltd gave a few remarks. She said the Minde Duxing lectures are a channel for MBA alumni to keep in touch with and give back to RBS on a regular basis. When she finished, Professor Zhi Xiaoqiang, on behalf of RBS, signed the donation agreement with representatives of the donors and presented Certificates of Donation.
  The signature ceremony was followed by the second of the Mingde Duxing Lectures. Professor Jin Canrong, Associate Dean of the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China, gave a talk on “Current International Relations and Chinese Diplomacy”.
