Abstract:
With the development of digital economy, people's demand presents the characteristics of diversification and fragmentation. The consumption upgrading leads to the transformation of traditional retail industry, new retail model came into being. As the representative form of new retail model, smart vending machine are receiving widespread attention. However, the layout design of smart vending machines is facing many challenges, mainly from the uncertainty of customer various preferences and the uncertainty caused by the shortage and failure of machines in operation, which makes the configuration low in efficiency. In this research, we focus on the reliable layout design of smart vending machines in different scenarios based on customers' preferences and proposed a two-stage systematic approach. This approach considers the preferences of customers in different scenarios to ensure service level, and also takes the mutual rescue situation into account, so as to improve the reliability.
