The First E-Meeting of Teachers and Students from the ACE Triple Degree Program

On April 20th, the ACE triple degree program students and teachers met online for the first time. Attendees included Raffaele Marchetti, Vice President of Luiss University in Italy, Antonio Majocchi, Director of the Business Administration undergraduate program, Jennifer Donaghue, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at George Washington University in the United States, Bryan Andriano, Assistant Dean of the Business School, Deng Ziliang, Associate Dean of the Business School at Renmin University of China, Jia Xingzhi, Director of the triple degree program, administrative staff in charge of the ACE program and 41 students from the first cohort of 2022. The meeting was chaired by Antonio Majocchi of Luiss University.

In the welcome speeches given by the representatives of the three universities, Raffaele Marchetti mentioned that in the fall of 2023, students at three different universities from the ACE Triple Degree Program will meet in Rome, the capital of Italy, to start their three-year joint learning journey, and will experience business and cultural diversity in the three capital cities. Jennifer Donaghue and Bryan Andriano stressed the joint efforts made by the three universities towards collaboration and also presented continued collaboration plans in the future. Deng Ziliang and Jia Xingzhi introduced the history of the program and extended their warm welcome to international students who will be studying at Renmin University of China in the fall of 2024.

During the self-introduction session, the 41 students with diverse regional and cultural backgrounds, expressed their longing for the transnational and cross-cultural learning journey that will begin in Italy during the second year of the program.

Antonio Majocchi introduced the Rome campus of Luiss University, student services and course arrangements. Then the instructors of the core major courses presented detailed descriptions of the courses that will be taught in the second year.
