Dr. Jan Katz Delivered a Speech on International Management Research at RBS

The Department of General Management Speaker Series welcomed Dr. Jan Katz from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management to give a speech on Hot Topics in International Management Research and Practice on October 16, 2013. Dr. Jan Katz’s areas of expertise are international management and marketing. She has extensive experience running international exchange programs for Cornell as well as developing cases in a wide range of countries including India, Bulgaria and Brazil.

The speaker series is designed to expose RBS faculty and Ph.D. candidates to the latest international thinking in their discipline. As such, Dr. Katz gave an overview of several areas of current interest in international management research and identified some of the work that has recently been done in those areas. She also addressed future trends for research as well as major current issues for practitioners – how to deal with management in an uncertain environment.

Dr. Katz's husband Professor Harry C. Katz, the dean of the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, also attended the speech and answered questions. They had an extensive discussion on International Management research with RBS faculty members.
