FBR Awarded “2019 The Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China”

On October 28th 2019, Forum on the Future of Chinese Academic Journals released the 2019 Annual Report for International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals. Frontiers of Business Research in China (FBR), is awarded the “2019 The Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China (Humanities and Social Sciences)”.

Data from the 2019 Report shows that FBR’s Academic Journal Clout Index (CI) is 149.524, ranked the 34th place among all 6,435 journals in humanities and social sciences, 4th place among English journals in humanities and social sciences, and no.1 among English journals in Business Administration hosted by Chinese institutions. Furthermore, FBR’s Impact Factor based on International Citation is 0.404, ranked no.4 among all journals in humanities and social sciences, and no.1 among journals in Business Administration.

Since 2012, the Annual Report for International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals has been published for eight consecutive years, and received high recognition in academia. The top 5% of the journals were selected as "The Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China ", including 175 sciences journals and 60 humanities and social sciences journals. These journals are representatives of outstanding Chinese academic journals going to the world and telling Chinese stories.

FBR is a quarterly English journal co-published by Business School, Renmin University of China, SpringerOpen, and Higher Education Press. FBR has been indexed in ESCI database since 2015, and many other international databases such as Scopus and EconLit. In 2019, FBR has made great progress on its international impact. According to the latest update from Scopus, FBR’s CiteScore has been improved significantly to 0.89, from 0.26 at the year end of 2018.
