Overseas Adjunct Professors Appointed to RBS

　　May 2012: RBS officially appointed the second group of overseas adjunct professors to the School, marking the end of the selection process begun in September 2011.

　　The first group of 12 overseas adjunct professors was nominated in 2008, and recently completed their three-year term.  They made significant contributions to RBS’ development of cutting-edge lectures, overseas exchanges and high-level research achievements.  Their lectures and seminars were well received by both faculty and students.  RBS doctoral candidates have also been accepted by the universities where the professors work for joint doctoral programs.

　　In recognizing the importance of attracting high-level overseas talent for adjunct posts, RBS has reviewed the experience of working with the first group of overseas adjunct professors and as a result revised the RBS Overseas Adjunct Professor Hiring Regulations.   This review has clarified the responsibilities of visiting and guest faculty, improved the evaluation and management plans, and set salaries and guidelines for the availability of teaching assistants.  The School looks forward to welcoming the second group of overseas adjunct professors and their contributing to the improvement of RBS’s academic research and globalized development.
