An academic progress review session for the first cohort of ACE Triple Degree Program was held on June 10, 2025. More than 30 students from America, China and Italy gathered at Renmin University of China to share reflections on their academic journey and campus life.

ZHANG Donggang, Chair of the University Council, along with WANG Yi, Vice Chair of the University Council and Vice President of the university, attended the session. ZHANG Donggang remarked that the ACE Triple Degree Program is the world’s first bachelor’s program with triple degrees spanning Asia, Europe, and North America. It is also a significant initiative of Renmin University of China to cultivate future global leaders. Over the past year, students have demonstrated immense enthusiasm and great initiatives in strengthening their academic foundations, engaging in immersive field studies, and actively participating in international dialogues — all of which reflect their vibrant youthfulness and outstanding cross-cultural communication skills. ZHANG Donggang also expressed his hope that students will always maintain a “spirit of relentless exploration,” uphold the virtue of “appreciating the beauty in diversity,” and carry the ambition of “contributing to the greater good of the world.” He encouraged students to continue deepening their expertise, expanding intellectual horizons, and becoming builders of cross-cultural teams as well as envoys fostering civilizational dialogue — thereby dedicating themselves to accelerating the construction of a global community with a shared future and advancing the framework for inclusive global development.

YANG Wanli from Renmin University of China, Domenico Bencivenga and Francesca Cutugno from LUISS University, Chris Heredia and Ariana Martes from George Washington University shared their experiences of studying and living at Renmin University of China, noting that they had not only gained professional academic knowledge, but also learned to view the world from multiple perspectives. They emphasized that the experience of participating in the ACE Triple Degree Program is irreplaceable.

The session concluded after student representatives presented ZHANG Donggang with a letter of appreciation trilingual in Chinese, English, and Italian, along with a commemorative photo album.

The session was also attended by representatives from relevant units including the Academic Affairs Office, International Office, International Student Office, and Renmin Business School.
