16 April, Beijing — A delegation led by Li Ying, North Asia President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), visited Renmin Business School (RMBS), Renmin University of China. The two parties held a meeting to discuss further collaboration. Jingtao Yi, Dean of RMBS, attended the meeting, together with Min Zhang, Chair of the Department of Accounting, Yutao Wang, Director of the DPAcc Program, and representatives from the MPAcc Program Center.
Jingtao Yi extended a warm welcome to Li Ying and her delegation. He noted that cultivating talent equipped with digital capabilities has become a strategic priority for the School. In the current international landscape, it is increasingly important to develop accounting professionals with a global vision, a strong grasp of international accounting standards, and outstanding cross-cultural communication skills. He hoped that both sides could deepen cooperation in talent cultivation development and jointly explore innovative models.
Li Ying introduced CIMA’s development in China and reviewed the history of collaboration with RMBS. She emphasized that CIMA is committed to advancing the management accounting framework and supporting enterprises in strategic transformation and value creation. She expressed her expectation to strengthen cooperation with RMBS in areas such as digital talent cultivation, case development, professional competitions, and high-level forums, in order to promote the integration of management accounting education and practice.
Min Zhang presented an overview of the development of the accounting discipline at RMBS and expressed interest in deepening cooperation with CIMA in joint case development, curriculum innovation in the digital era, and talent cultivation in both undergraduate and MPAcc programs. Yutao Wang highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration with industry and enterprises to advance the integration of education, research, and practice.
The two parties then held in-depth discussions on initiatives including case competitions and forum collaboration.
The meeting laid a solid foundation for expanding cooperation and promoting the development of high-level accounting talents.
